This California Notice at Collection (“Notice”) is provided to California residents at or before the point Surely Networks, LLC (“Surely Networks,” “Surely,” “we,” “us”) collects personal information from them, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”). This Notice supplements, and should be read together with, the Surely Privacy Policy, which contains additional detail.
1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we collect the following categories of personal information, as defined by the CCPA:
- Identifiers — name, email address, account identifiers, and device identifiers.
- Personal information categories under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e) — name and contact information.
- Protected classification characteristics — not intentionally collected, except to the extent voluntarily disclosed by you or contained in content or sources you choose to connect.
- Commercial information — records of subscription tier, transactions, and features used.
- Internet or other electronic network activity — usage and telemetry data, device and log data, cookies, and similar identifiers.
- Geolocation data — approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Sensitive personal information — the contents of communications, documents, and other files you connect or store in your brain, and account credentials used to access the Services.
- Inferences — summaries, links, tags, and other inferences drawn from your content to operate your brain and the Services.
We do not collect biometric information or precise real-time geolocation, except to the extent contained in content or sources you voluntarily connect.
2. Purpose of Collection
We collect the categories above to: provide and operate the Services; build and operate your brain from the content and sources you provide; deliver AI features and automations; synchronize your brain across devices; process payments; maintain security and integrity; and comply with legal obligations. 3. Retention
We retain each category of personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, consistent with Section 4 of the Privacy Policy, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
4. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
Surely Networks does not sell or share (as those terms are defined by the CCPA, including for cross-context behavioral advertising) the personal information of California residents, and has not done so in the preceding twelve (12) months.
5. Use of Sensitive Personal Information
We use sensitive personal information (such as the contents of the communications, documents, and files you connect or store) only as reasonably necessary to provide the Services you have requested — namely, to build and operate your brain and produce AI Output for you. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you for advertising purposes, and California residents have the right to limit this use as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Your California Rights
California residents have the rights described in the Multi-State Privacy Rights Notice, including the right to know, delete, correct, and, with respect to sensitive personal information, limit use. To submit a request, see Section 9 of the Privacy Policy or the Multi-State Privacy Rights Notice.
